Hemophilia Patients Welfare Society was founded in 1995. The purpose was to look after the hemophiliacs in the best possible way.

Hitherto the treatment provided was sporadic and inconsistent. Due to which most of the patients lost their lives and those who survived suffered from crippling of the joints.

When we started the Hemophilia Treatment Center the task before us was very difficult as we took upon ourselves the responsibility which was beyond our capacity and capability. We were in dire shortage of resources. It was difficult to even open a small liaison office.

But as we moved on, by the grace of God, we were able to overcome the problems. Slowly and gradually the tender plant started to take root.

Ten years on, when we look back, we feel a sense of satisfaction. We feel that all through these years we have been helped by Providence. As we moved along the road, by the grace of God, we were joined by

sincere people who helped us out. We were lucky that we were in the company of some very good doctors who took care of the hemophiliacs in the best possible way, gave them free consultation and whenever required performed surgeries without charging any fee.

We were also able to provide for our patients AHFs (Anti Hemophilia Factors), which is the best option available today, amongst other options, for the treatment of the patients. Because of the provision of AHFs it was made possible to go for major surgeries which otherwise was not possible due to profuse bleeding in the process.

Not only that we were able to give treatment in Karachi but we also helped in opening the centers in Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Of late we have also opened a HTC (Hemophilia Treatment Center) in Quetta and Hyderabad. We also have the plans to open HTCs in Pashin, Nawabshah, Larkana and Sujawal.

This has been our motto all through that we want to give treatment to the hemophiliacs at their doorstep.

Although it is still quite a long journey, but we can take pride with a sense of satisfaction for whatever we have achieved so far. We still want to excel in what we have already done, in order to make our society one of the best in our country and a role model for others to take inspiration.
